Come shop at the TREP$ MARKETPLACE to be amazed by number of innovative products and services – all developed, marketed and sold by young entrepreneurs in grades 5 through 8.

1. Send home letter to all parents in class requesting $10 for class party donations and asking for volunteers to provide snacks/drinks throughout the year.
2. Collect monies and contact other captains with total (as well as VP) so you can divide the $ evenly among all the students in the grade.  Ex: Captain A collects $170, Captain B collects $180 and Captain C collects $100.  There are 50 kids in the grade.  $450/50 equals $9 per kid.  You have 15 kids in your class, so you get $135 to divide among your party parents. $135/4 parties is $33.75 per party. Give $ to your party parents. Do not keep!

It’s time for the Halloween Party.  Who does what?

At the Class Parent meeting, the 4 CP and 2 alternates should have been assigned one of the three main parties – Halloween, Holiday and Spring; 2 per party.  ONLY the Halloween parents from each class should discuss/plan/attend the party for their class.  The Captain of each class should contact snack/drink volunteers for the party parents(if they need it) and let them know who can donate.

As Captain, can I go to any/all the parties?

NO.  Just the 2 parents from your class assigned to that party should plan and attend the party.

My teacher contacted Captain about chaperones for the field trip.  She needs 3.  Who gets to go?

Captain should contact CP #2 and #3 to see if they can go. If either/both can’t, Captain should move on the CP#4, then alternate 1 and so on until 3 chaperones are found.

There’s a second field trip and 4 chaperones are needed.  Who gets to go?

Captain should contact CP in the order they were selected to see if they can attend. CP #2, then CP #3, #4, Alt 1, Alt 2.  (and into Volunteers if necessary)

What do the Volunteers do?

Since the Volunteers usually do not get to participate in parties or field trips, they should be contacted first if the teachers need help in the classroom with other activities (primarily in lower grades).  Examples include the 100^th day celebration, special “art” projects, International Day, etc…

Who plans the End of Year party?

With the teacher’s ok, generally any/all class parents, alternates and volunteers are invited to attend the End of Year party and can be involved in planning.
